Consignor Agreement
Thank you for your interest in becoming a consignor at Next Consignment Boutique. Our goal is to provide quality clothing and accessories for women and children, friendly and attentive customer service, and a personal working relationship with our consignors that is mutually beneficial.
We accept merchandise by appointment only. Established consignors who are eligible may drop-off by appointment. Please view our drop off guidelines or you may schedule at www.nextconsignment.storeappointment.com, in the store, or by phone.
* Merchandise is seasonally accepted as follows:
Spring: February through March Summer: April through Mid-July
Fall: August through October Winter: November through Mid-January
* We will accept a maximum of 30 pieces per appointment with no minimum.
* Items should be new or in “like new” condition, clean, wrinkle free, and on hangers.
* Since customer preference is the basis for our selection guidelines, we reserve the right to reject any clothing or accessories with stains, tears, missing buttons, odors, or items not in current style.
* We do not accept items from discount stores such as Wal-Mart, Target, KMart, Payless, etc.
* Pricing is determined by store staff.
Depending on the quality and condition of the merchandise, we price between a third and a fourth of retail. Brand new items with tags attached can be priced at one third to one half of the retail price. We strive to ensure that all clothing is undamaged and in excellent condition before pricing. However if an item is found to be flawed at the time of purchase, it is our policy to adjust the price accordingly to reflect the quality of the piece.
* You will receive a net of 45% of what your merchandise sells for less a fee for each item sold. The fee will cost you no more than 45 cents per item.
* There is a one-time registration fee of $15 due at the first appointment. This fee can be waived if you choose to either keep earned money on account for in-store spending or surrender your unsold items.
* Merchandise will be placed on the sales floor for nine weeks and must remain at the shop for the entire period.
* Items will be marked down by a schedule at our discretion. In addition, we reserve the right to offer additional promotions at any time during the nine-week period.
* After nine weeks, any unsold merchandise will be removed from the floor. You have the option to surrender or pick up unsold items. If you choose to pick up, items remaining in the shop for more than a month after being removed from the floor will be assumed unwanted and will become store property. We reserve the right to sell, donate or otherwise dispose of items without further responsibility to the owner. Jewelry does not follow the nine-week time period nor the normal markdown schedule. Jewelry remains on the floor at full price until sold or returned and may be marked down at our discretion.
* We will print checks for amounts greater than $10 on the 10 of each month for the previous month’s sales. The checks will be kept at the shop for pick-up at your convenience. However, checks will be voided after six months.
* It is the consignor’s responsibility to pick up checks or unsold items in a timely manner. You can check your balance and current month’s activity at
www.nextconsignment.shoprw.com, in the store, or by phone.
* We strive to provide a safe and secure environment for the care and sale of your clothing and accessories. However, unfortunately, no system is foolproof, therefore Next Consignment Boutique cannot be held responsible for lost, stolen or damaged items.
